Senior Client Portfolio Manager

Michael Nelson, CFA, CAIA, is a senior client portfolio manager for the Real Assets Platform, responsible for collaborating with sales, product, marketing and investment teams to ensure client needs and investment solutions are met. He serves as a knowledgeable proxy for portfolio managers, providing counsel to clients on topics specific to the investment platform. Prior to joining Aegon Asset Management, he worked at William Blair Investment Management, Henderson Global Investors, Bluerock Capital Markets and Inland Securities Corporation. Michael has been in the industry since 2011 and with the firm since 2022. He is a CFA® and CAIA® charterholder and received his BA from Illinois State University. He also maintains the Series 7 and 63 licenses and is a registered representative of Foreside Fund Services, LLC.
