Ewan Mitchell

Chief Risk Officer

Ewan Mitchell is Aegon Asset Management’s chief risk officer, responsible for elevating and maintaining the global standard of risk management within the three lines model. He has 22 years’ financial services industry experience spanning asset management, insurance, corporate and investment banking with previous roles at Alliance Trust Investments and National Australia Bank. He has been in the industry since 2003 and joined Aegon AM as the head of UK portfolio risk in 2016. Ewan serves on the Investment Association’s risk committees for both public and private markets, representing the UK trade body for investment managers. He holds a master’s degree in information technology from Heriot Watt University and a master’s in investment analysis from the University of Stirling.
