Bio

Serdar Kucukakin is a senior sovereign research analyst and is responsible for sovereign analyses of Central European countries and the Middle East. Prior to his current role, Serdar worked for the Turkish State Planning Organization in Ankara, a commercial research institute in the Netherlands, and the Dutch ministry of Economic Affairs. After that, he was a senior economist for ABN AMRO, conducting sovereign as well as business cycle analyses. Prior to that, Serdar was an independent economist making regular media appearances eventually joining the National Bank of Kuwait in 2013. He has been in the industry since 2001 and started with the firm in 2014. Serdar received his Master's degree in economics from the Free University in Amsterdam.
